Loch Palm was formerly known as The Phuket Century Country Club is charming and carved around the natural environment that Loch Palm has to offer and is surely a challenge to all golfers ability.
Loch Palm golf Course is still one of Phuket’s most popular and enjoyable golf courses.
In danger of being overshadowed by the new Red Mountain recently completed a major new design upgrade.
The 18 hole par 72 6,555 yards is located surrounded by panoramic view of hills. The first nine holes are tree lined shady palms around a sizeable Crystal lake, so keeping your ball out of the water is the main objective.
Loch Palm still throws down many challenges but the fairways on the first nine holes are less undulating and easier to handle. The short par-5 2nd hole may test your nerves around the waters edge.
The back-nine are tighter and more undulating, short downhill par-4 10th. The equally tight and challenging par-5 11th is lined by many new villas on the left side of the hole. One of the best holes is the par-3 14th, played downhill to a green surrounded on three sides by water. Smoothly rolling slopes and exciting changes in elevation, taking you over plateaus and across ravines Loch Palm is a joy to play.
The course is always in top playing condition, golf carts are available on request. The club house serves good Thai food at reasonable prices.
The locker rooms are a little small and entrances are positioned next to the eating areas.
Loch Palm has a driving range on the lake so before your round hit a few practice balls and enjoys the novelty.
